Dear Parents/Guardians:
I pray that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. A special thank you is extended to all the parents who contributed to the food drive organized by the Student Council. Your contributions were sent to YCAP, a local community center.
In keeping with the spirit of Thanksgiving, our 8th graders volunteered at the Yonkers Youth Bureau and packed over 300 bags with food to hand out to Yonkers residents.
Parents, please remember to fulfill your financial obligation.
I am pleased to share that most parents have registered with FACTS, our tuition payment system. For those who have not yet signed up, I encourage you to do so promptly. The next three weeks of school will be filled with exciting events and important activities. Please take note of the following:
1. The Fall Family Fest
Our annual Fall Family Fest will take place on Saturday, December 7, at 5:00 PM at the North Bronx Seventh-day Adventist Church which is located at 3743 Bronxwood Ave, Bronx, NY 10469 The students received flyers and donation envelopes last month. We kindly ask families to reach out to friends and relatives to help us achieve our goal of raising at least $100 per family. Additionally, the Home & School Association requested donations for refreshments to be sold at the Fall Fest. Please deliver these items directly to the North Bronx Church on the day of the event.
2. Health Emphasis Week
– December 9 - 133.
3. Awards Ceremony
– On December 17 students in grades 1-8 will be recognized for achievements in academics, citizenship, and attendance,
4. Progress Reports
– Students will receive their progress reports on December 18.
5. Mid-Year Exam Review –
On December 18 students will receive review materials for the mid-year exams scheduled for January 17, and January 21-24.

ELA – Friday, January 17
Math – Tuesday, January 21 – Make up exam in the afternoon
Social Studies – Wednesday, January 22 - Make up exam in the afternoon
Science – Thursday, January 23 - Make up exam in the afternoon
Bible – Friday, January 24
6. Grade 8 Fundraiser & Class Parties –
Thursday, December 19 Grade 8 will be hosting a Gingerbread House Decorating Contest fundraiser. The cost for the supplies is $15. If you would like your child to participate, please send the money in advance so their gingerbread house can be ordered. This will be the last day in school before the holiday break. Each class will celebrate with a party.
7. Half Day Classes on Zoom
– On Friday, December 20, classes will be held on Zoom with a 12pm dismissal.
8. Holiday Break –
School will be closed from December 23 – January 6. School will reopen on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
