Dear Parents/Guardians:

I am happy to inform you that our drama club officially began last month under the leadership of Mrs. Vicky Jamel who is a talented playwright and director. I am also happy to let you know that the Fun Night at Morris Park Seventh-day Adventist Church was a grand success, filled with fun and fellowship. A special thank you is extended to Mrs. Cathleen Tuckett, Mr. Eddy Sudan, and the Home & School Association for their dedication in organizing the event.

Please remember your financial obligations by making your FACTS payments on time to avoid late fees.

Please take note of the following important announcements:

1. Second Round of Spelling Bee – The students who scored 80% or higher on the first round will compete in the second round on Thursday, February 6. The second round will be oral, and students are only permitted to make one mistake. The top two finalists will advance to the final round, which will be held on February 13.

2. Home & School Meeting has been postponed to Tuesday, February 11. It will be held on Zoom at 7:00 PM. The login information is as follows:

3. Spirit of Prophesy Emphasis Week – February 10 - 14

4. Winter Break – School will be closed from February 17 - 21.

5. Cultural Festival – In celebration of Black History Month, we will have a cultural festival on Thursday, February 27.

6. MAP Testing – Students in grades 3 - 8 have personalized IXL study plans based on their MAP scores. Please encourage your child to practice regularly on IXL. MAP testing will be conducted from March 4 - 7.

7. Gospel Explosion – Please note the new date for this event. The gospel explosion will now take place on March 22, 2025 at 6:00 PM at the North Bronx Seventh-day Adventist Church.
